A designer from Israel sent us sketches of a character nobody had sewn before. Round blue body, big green eyes, and ears so large they work like wings. In the studio we just called him Eared. This custom character plush was made to order for that designer, from those sketches. We don't keep a shelf of ready toys. Every character we sew starts with someone else's idea.
From sketch to plush
Sketches show a character from one side, maybe two. A toy has to sit, balance and look right from every angle. So the body became an egg: sky blue on top, a pale blue oval belly below. He sits up on his own.
The ears were the tricky part. Each one is a long sky blue edge with a pale blue membrane underneath, split by sewn rib lines and ending in pointed tips, like a bat's wing. They stretch out wider than the whole body.
The face is embroidered: big eyes with white rims, dark green irises, a black lash line and a white highlight, plus a tiny smile with a pink tongue poking out. Short arms reach forward, and the paws and feet have small embroidered pads.

Eared is sewn from short, soft plush in two blues: sky blue for the head, back, arms, legs and the edges of the ears, and pale blue for the belly and the ear membranes.

A character plush from a sketch usually takes 2-4 weeks, with a small reserve for the surprises that handwork brings.
Most of that time goes into the pattern. A flat drawing has to become a shape that sits and keeps its proportions, and ears this wide need to stay up without drooping. Then the face gets embroidered, and the eyes have to match the sketch.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you need it by a date, say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. After the toy leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country.
