This little stingray swam out of a computer game. In 2019 a customer sent us pictures of a ray they loved from a game and asked for it in fabric, so we sewed a stingray plush just for them. It never sat on a shelf. Every toy we make is made to order, for one person and their idea.
A game creature, sewn by hand
Toys from pictures are our favorite kind of work, because each order comes with somebody's story or obsession attached. This time it was a game. Our 2019 notes don't say which one, so we won't guess. If you recognize this ray, tell us. We'd love to know.
Here's what we can tell you. The wings are bright turquoise and curve up at the tips like a manta's. The belly is soft lavender. An orange head sits on top like a hood, with two curled orange horns, and a thin turquoise tail curls up behind. Under the chin a tiny teal tongue sticks out. Two glossy black eyes finish the face, and a line of small black stitches runs along the edges.
The body is flat and the wings are wide, so it rests on a desk the way a ray lies on the sand.
Your game creature next
Maybe there's a creature from a game you've played for years and nobody ever made a toy of it. Send us screenshots, fan art or your own sketch. We'll match the colors, pick the size with you (Small about 20 cm, Medium about 30 cm, Large about 45 cm, or bigger) and send photos before anything ships. A plush like this starts from $370, and the quote is free.
More characters from games are in Video Game Characters. Another sea creature from a game is our Jeff the Land Shark. Got a drawing instead of a screenshot? See Plush From Drawings.
We're an independent studio and make fan pieces to order. Not affiliated with any game developer.
The stingray is sewn from soft, matte fabric in three colors: turquoise for the wings and tail, orange for the head and curled horns, lavender for the belly. A line of small black stitches runs along the edges, so the outline reads clearly from above.
The eyes are glossy black, and a little teal tongue is sewn in under the chin. All our materials are premium and hypoallergenic.
- Colors matched to your screenshots or drawing
- Any size you need
- On request: poseable fins on a wire frame, an embroidered name, a sound module or LED lights
A plush like this usually takes 2-4 weeks. That includes a few spare days, because handmade work sometimes needs them.
On screen a game creature is often seen from one angle. A toy gets seen from every side, so we start with the pattern: wings, head and horns have to look right from above, from the side and from behind. Then the sewing, then the face.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships and can ask for changes. Gift? Put the date in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your stingray leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country, the carrier and customs.
Before the holidays the post slows down, and Christmas parcels can take longer. For a Christmas gift, order by November 1.
A plush of someone's favorite game creature works for a birthday, or for the day a long-awaited sequel comes out. Tell us when it has to arrive, and we'll check that making and shipping fit your date before you pay.
We've made toys to order since 2009, and characters from games are a regular part of that work. Players notice when a fin has the wrong curve or a color is off.
So you see photos of the finished toy before it's packed, and we fix anything that doesn't match your pictures. If it arrives and you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
That goes for a small ray like this one and for anything bigger you dream up.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
