This Grim Matchstick plush is the green dragon boss from Cuphead: a long yellow snout, big cartoon eyes, a mouth full of white fangs, small green wings and spikes from his head to the tip of his tail. We sewed him by hand from one picture of the character, made to order for one customer. Nothing here waits on a shelf. You tell us which character you want, and we make that one, for you.
The boss that took you a year
Cuphead came out in 2017 from Studio MDHR, the studio of brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer. Every frame is hand-drawn in the rubber hose style of 1930s cartoons, and the game is famously hard. Grim Matchstick waits in Fiery Frolic on Inkwell Isle Two. He spits fire at you, and just when you think you've won, he grows two more heads.
Ask fans about him and the stories match. Stuck on the dragon for days. One player cleared another boss on the first try, then lost a year to this one. Others call him the best fight in the game, or say his level has their favorite song. You beat him. Now he can sit on your desk and grin at you.
A custom Cuphead plush nobody else has
Most Cuphead plushies out there are the cup brothers themselves. Search for a Grim Matchstick plush and you mostly find fans asking where to get one. So we sew him to order. Ours follows his one-headed look from the reference art: bright green fleece, a pale yellow belly and snout, white claws and a tall spiked tail.
Yours can be different:
- small, medium or large
- his classic colors, or your own palette
- a sound module, or LED lights in his eyes, wings or fire breath
- wire in the neck, tail, wings and limbs, so you can pose him
- an embroidered name, initials or a short message
- printed details in Cuphead's 1930s cartoon style
Want the three-headed final phase instead, or another boss from the game? Send us a screenshot. We also sew plush from your own drawings.
We're an independent studio, and this is a handmade fan piece, not official Cuphead merchandise. More of our dragons, from Spyro to Toothless, are in dragon plushies, and more game heroes and villains in video game plushies.
Grim is sewn from soft premium plush fleece in two colors: bright green for his body, neck, wings and tail, and pale yellow for his belly and long snout. The stuffing is hypoallergenic, so he's fine to hug, not only to look at.
A few details make him read as Grim from across the room:
- big white cartoon eyes with black pupils
- a red mouth lined with white fangs
- white spikes down his neck, back and tail
- white claws on his hands and feet
Want him posed mid-roar on a shelf? Ask for wire in the neck, wings and tail. Sound and LED lights can go in too.
A Grim Matchstick plush usually takes 2-4 weeks. His long neck and snout have to keep their shape, and every wing, fang and spike is cut and sewn by hand.
We work out the pattern from your reference first. Then we cut, sew, stuff and finish the face. The time includes a small reserve, because handmade work brings surprises. Before anything ships, you get photos of your finished dragon to approve.
Once you approve the photos, Grim ships. Delivery usually takes 7-20 business days, depending on where you live, the carrier and the shipping method. Sometimes it's about a week.
Couriers slow down around the holidays, so leave extra time then. Giving him to a Cuphead fan for Christmas? Order by November 1, so the sewing and the shipping both fit.
For a birthday, count back from the date: usually 2-4 weeks to sew, then up to 20 business days on the road.
We've been sewing custom plush since 2009, mostly characters nobody makes as a toy. Cuphead fans know that dragon frame by frame, and they'd spot a wrong snout or a missing spike at once. That's why you see photos of your finished plush and approve them before we ship.
If you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
You don't need a reason. Just write to us within those 14 days.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
