Made from a photo
We started with a picture and nothing else. The face is painted by hand on fabric. Look at the close-up and you'll see the soft eyeshadow, a bit of color on the cheeks, the light brows and that half-smile people have in photos when they aren't quite posing.
The hair is a straight blonde bob with a side parting, cut to sit the way her real hair does.
All in white
She wears a white short-sleeved top, white trousers and white shoes, and stands on a white round stand. Simple clothes, but each piece was cut and sewn for this doll. Your version can wear anything: a work uniform, a favorite dress, the jacket she always wears.

A portrait doll turns a person into a small keepsake. Some people order one as a birthday gift. Some order it to remember someone dear. Some just like seeing a familiar face on the shelf every morning. We think of them as little family heirlooms: you look at one and feel warm.
What we need from you
One clear photo of the face, from the front if you have it, and a picture of the outfit you'd like. More photos help but aren't required. Portrait dolls are usually 30–50 cm (12–20 in) tall, and the price is per doll. Before she ships, you get photos of the finished doll.

This is a soft cloth doll. Head, body, arms and legs are sewn from fabric, and the face is painted by hand right on the cloth, so it keeps a soft, matte look instead of a plastic shine.

The filling is hypoallergenic. On request we can put wire inside so the arms hold a pose, add a sound module that plays a recorded voice, or copy a logo, badge or name tag from a real uniform. Mention these in your first message, since they go in while we sew.
A portrait doll like this usually takes 2–4 weeks.
Most of that time goes into the face. We study your photo and paint the features by hand until the eyes and the smile look like the person, not just like a doll. Then come the pattern, the body, the hair and the clothes.
The time frame includes a reserve for handmade surprises. If you need her for a birthday or an anniversary, tell us the date when you write, and we'll say honestly whether it fits.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays mail slows down, so add a few extra days then.

You see photos of the finished doll before we pack her. She travels dressed, with her stand, packed so the hair and the white clothes arrive the way they looked in those photos.
