This is a Kotofeechka, a little flying creature from a fairytale world, and our fairy cat plush of one was made to order from a picture. Nobody pulled it off a shelf. We sewed this one cat fairy by hand, and yours would be sewn the same way, just for you.
Who the Kotofeechki are
They come from Fantasy Patrol (Skazochny Patrul), a Russian animated series for kids by Studio Parovoz that started in 2016. It follows a team of young sorceresses in the small town of Myshkin. The Kotofeechki live in the magic forest. They're cat-eared fairies who sing and dance while they fly, and they're old friends of the girls, the kind you call when something goes wrong. Lots of young viewers fell for them.
Watching your favorite character on a phone screen is nice. Having it sewn from a photo or a drawing, so you can squeeze the little cutie any minute you like, is better. That's the part we do.
From the screen to soft pink plush
The picture we worked from shows a glowing 3D Kotofeechka. A toy can't glow, so the job was to keep everything else: the big cat ears with dark pink insides, the round head, the eyes shut in a happy squint, the thin yellow smile.

The body and head are soft pink plush with a short pile, shaded darker on the cheeks and inside the ears so the face has the same warm glow as the cartoon.
The wings are cut from pale lilac plush and spread out to the sides, the way they are on screen. The paws and feet are bright yellow-green plush, the colour that makes a Kotofeechka look like a Kotofeechka.

A cat fairy like this usually takes 2-4 weeks. We keep a little spare time in that figure, because handwork doesn't always go to plan.
First comes the pattern, drawn from your picture. Then the cutting, the sewing, the stuffing and, last, the face. The face takes the longest. Stitched eyes that are a millimetre off can turn a happy squint into a frown.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. If it's for a birthday, tell us the date in your first message.
