This Murder Drones J plush is a jointed doll of Serial Designation J, the boss of the Disassembly Drone squad. White pigtails, narrow yellow eyes, a black uniform with yellow hazard stripes, and the look of a drone who's about to file a complaint about you. We made her to order for one fan. That's how every toy here starts: you tell us which J you want, and we sew her. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting.

Fans have a funny relationship with J. "I love to hate her" comes up a lot, and so does "still waiting on a J plush, even a fan-made one." So here's one, built to stand on a shelf and look smug.

Who J is

Murder Drones is the indie web series by Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions. The pilot came out on October 29, 2021, and the show ran for 8 episodes until August 2024. On the planet Copper 9, Disassembly Drones hunt the worker drones left behind after humans died out.

J leads the squad with N and V. She's arrogant, loyal to the company JCJenson and full of corporate jargon. In the pilot Uzi and N take her down, but she doesn't stay gone. Shara Kirby voices her. Fans still joke that she got fewer lines in the show than in an ad.

What we made

  • A wire frame with ball joints, so the arms, legs and tail move and hold a pose
  • White hair from kanekalon fiber and sculpted yellow eyes
  • A black jacket with tiny handmade buttons, a belt, a yellow shirt and tie, and a yellow armband
  • Removable hands: two white ones and a mechanical claw, plus a removable sword
  • Silver wing blades on her back and hand-painted hazard stripes on the legs

Your J, your way

Want a different size, another fabric, or a different expression on her face? Tell us. You can also ask for her next to our Uzi doll, or as a pair with N. Send screenshots and we'll work from them. You get photos of the finished doll before she ships. More jointed characters are in character dolls, and more cartoon toys in toys from animated films.

We're an independent studio. This is a handmade fan piece, not an official Glitch Productions product.

J is built like a collectible doll, not a squishy plushie:

  • Soft textile for the body, the jacket, the shirt and the striped white legs
  • Kanekalon fiber for the long white pigtails, so the hair falls straight and stays white
  • Sculpted eyes and handmade buttons from polymer clay
  • A wire frame with ball joints inside, plus stuffing around it
  • Fittings for the sword, the claw hand and the wing blades

The hazard stripes are painted by hand, and the hands come off so you can swap the white ones for the claw. Extras like LED eyes or a sound module go in while we sew, so ask at the start. Any fur is faux fur only.

A J doll usually takes 3–4 weeks to make.

A jointed doll takes longer than a simple plush. First comes the pattern and the wire frame, so every joint bends where it should. Then the uniform, the clay eyes and buttons, the sword, the claw hand and the wing blades, all made one by one.

The face and the stripes come last. That's where she turns from a black-and-white doll into J. The time frame has a small reserve for handmade surprises, so mention any date in your first message.

We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays couriers slow down, so it can take longer.

Planning J as a birthday gift for a Murder Drones fan, or the start of a whole squad on the shelf? Add the making time and delivery together and count back from the date. For Christmas, order by November 1.

Before she leaves, we send you photos of the finished doll. The sword, the claw and the wing blades get packed so they arrive in shape.

We've been sewing custom plush toys and dolls since 2009. Characters with lots of small parts, like J with her swap-out hands and wing blades, are a big share of what we make.

Murder Drones fans notice every stripe, so you see photos of your J before she ships. If you still don't love her, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

Not sure about the size or which version of J to make? Ask before we start. A detail is much easier to get right in the pattern than to fix later.

Why?

No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.

Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.

Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.

You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.

One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.

That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
