Ask people which of the three chipmunks they loved most and a lot of them say Theodore. He's the round, shy one in green who trusts everybody. This Theodore chipmunk plush is needle felted from natural wool, about 30 cm (12 in) tall, and made to order: we start on yours after you order, so he's made for you, not pulled from a stockroom.

The youngest brother

Ross Bagdasarian invented the Chipmunks in 1958 for a novelty record, "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)". It still plays every December. Theodore got his name from Ted Keep, an executive at Liberty Records. He has played the sweet, gullible kid brother ever since, in TV cartoons and, from 2007, in films with computer-animated chipmunks, where Jesse McCartney voiced him. He loves food, gets scared easily and wears green.

Felted fiber by fiber

We built him from a film still of that movie Theodore, in 2024. The wool goes on layer by layer with a felting needle, so the fur has real depth:

Felted wool is firm, not squishy. He stands on his own feet and was made to sit on a shelf, a desk or in a fan collection. The Theodore in the photos already lives with his owner, so yours is made new and will differ a little, like any handmade piece.

Materials used

Theodore is made from natural wool, shaped and felted by hand. Each part is built up from loose wool and firmed with a felting needle until it holds its shape.

The result is firm and sculpted, closer to a small statue than a pillow, and at home on a shelf. If you want a different shade of green, another size, or a pose for a photo you love, tell us at the start.

Lead time

A felted Theodore usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.

Most of that time goes into the head. The cheeks have to be round enough, the teeth have to sit right, and the eyes need that worried, hopeful look, or he reads as just another chipmunk. The body, feet and paws come next, then the hoodie.

The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If he's a gift for a set date, put it in your first message.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays couriers slow down, so it can take longer.

A chipmunk who came out of a Christmas song makes sense under a tree. Count the making time and delivery back from your date. For Christmas, order by November 1.

Before he ships, we send you photos of the finished Theodore, and he travels packed so his cheeks and hood arrive in shape.

Guarantee

We've been making custom toys since 2009, and a well-known character is the hardest test. Fans know Theodore's face by heart, so a slightly wrong eye shows right away.

That's why you see photos of your chipmunk before he ships. If you still don't love him, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
