This Mune plush is the little faun from the French animated film Mune: Guardian of the Moon, sewn by hand in our studio. He joined our portfolio in January 2016, a few months after the film reached French cinemas. Like every toy here, he was made to order from scratch, not taken off a shelf.
A lot of people saw the film as kids and later half-believed they'd dreamed it. It's that kind of movie: odd, funny and very pretty. If you're one of them and can't find a Mune toy anywhere, this page shows what we can sew.
Who Mune is
The film came out in 2014, directed by Alexandre Heboyan and Benoît Philippon. Mune is a young, clumsy faun, a furry creature of the night. The Moon picks him as its new Guardian over Leeyoon, the apprentice everyone expected. Then the villain Necross steals the Sun, and Mune has to get it back with Sohone, the Sun Guardian, and Glim, a girl made of wax.
How we built him
We started from the character's proportions: a skinny blue body, a face that's mostly eyes, and ears almost as long as his head. The ears are lined with a pale, softly dotted fabric. A mane of blue faux fur runs from the top of his head down around his neck like a collar. He has a pale blue belly patch, dark stripes along his side and long thin fingers.
The faun part is in the legs. They're covered in long black faux fur and end in glossy black hooves. Sit him on the edge of a shelf and the fur legs hang down, hooves and all.

Mune is mostly soft blue plush, smooth enough to keep his slim arms and long fingers neat.

A character like Mune usually takes 2–4 weeks.
Most of that goes into the pattern. A film character is drawn to look right on screen, and a soft toy has to look right from every side. We work out how the big ears stay up, how the eyes sit in the face and how the fur legs fall when he sits. Then come the sewing, the fur and the face.
The time frame has a small reserve for handmade surprises. If he's for a birthday or another date, put it in your first message.
Shipping takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post slows down, so leave a few extra days.
A Mune plush makes a good surprise for someone who grew up on the film and still talks about it. If it's a Christmas present, order by November 1.
Before we pack him, we send you photos of the finished toy. Compare him with your favourite stills and tell us if anything should change.
