This pink giraffe plush started as a drawing. A client sent it to us in 2017, and we sewed the giraffe from it, one toy for one person. Nothing like it existed before, and there's no stack of them on a shelf now. Everything we make is made to order from what you send us.
A giraffe with wings
Real giraffes are tan and brown. This one is bubblegum pink with deep raspberry spots. The head is raspberry too, with a smiling muzzle. On its back sit two fluffy pink wings, so it's part giraffe, part pegasus. A soft pink mane runs down the neck, and the tail ends in a fluffy tuft.
The face is where you see the drawing most: heavy-lidded dark eyes with long black lashes. On top of the head sit two little ossicones. On a real giraffe those knobs aren't horns: they're bone covered in skin and hair, and they stay for life. We kept them. We also scattered the spots by hand, the way every real giraffe's pattern is its own, like a fingerprint.

Pink giraffes have fans. Plenty of grown-ups still sleep with the pink giraffe they got as kids, and others post photos of one they lost years ago, hoping someone can find it. Fans of the color say it just looks more alive than the plain beige kind.

The body is sewn from soft short-pile plush in light pink. The raspberry spots are cut one by one from a darker plush and set into the pattern, so they're part of the toy, not printed on.
The wings, the mane along the neck and the tail tuft are long-pile faux fur in pale pink. We never use natural fur. The eyes are dark and glossy under sculpted lids, with long black lashes, and the hooves are black so the legs end cleanly.
All our materials are premium and hypoallergenic.

A giraffe like this usually takes 2-4 weeks, with a few spare days kept for handmade surprises.
First we turn your drawing into a pattern that exists only for your toy. Then the long legs and neck are shaped and sewn, the spots go in, and the wings, lashes and face come last, by hand.
Before it ships, you get photos of the finished giraffe and can ask for changes. If it has to arrive by a birthday, tell us the date in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your giraffe leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country, the carrier and customs.
The post slows down before the holidays, and Christmas parcels can take longer than that. For a Christmas gift, order by November 1.
