Everybody knows one. The friend who "just checks" the cookie jar every twenty minutes. The coworker who brings homemade chocolate chip cookies on Fridays. The kid who answers "cookie" to every question. For that person, a Cookie Monster plush isn't a random gift. It's a portrait.

We made this one to order, by hand. We don't keep a shelf of ready-made Cookie Monsters. Every handmade Cookie Monster toy starts when someone writes to us and tells us what they want.

What makes him look like Cookie Monster

Look at the photos. He's big enough to take over an armchair. The shaggy blue fur goes everywhere, the way it should. On top sit the two googly eyes, a little off in different directions, over a wide black mouth that's always open for the next bite.

And the cookie. A plush chocolate chip cookie you can put in his mouth, in his paws or on the chair next to him. Without it he's just a blue monster. With it, anyone recognizes him from across the room.

Make your own Cookie Monster

Since this is a custom Cookie Monster plush, you decide how he turns out:

Materials used

Cookie Monster lives or dies by his fur. On this one we used long, shaggy blue faux fur that sticks out in every direction, so he looks messy in the right way. The cookie is soft plush too, chips included.

Everything we use is safe and eco-friendly, which matters if he's going to a home with kids or getting squeezed a lot.

You can change them too:

Fur length and texture
Shade of blue, or another color if you want your own version
Embroidery or a printed message, like a name on the belly

Lead time

Making a Cookie Monster plush takes 2–3 weeks.

That's because nothing is waiting in a warehouse. We start from your wishes, cut a pattern for the size you chose and sew him by hand. With long fur, the face takes the most care. The eyes and mouth are where the character is.

Want a sound module, LED elements, movable limbs or embroidery? Tell us at the start so we can plan them in.

Delivery

Once he's finished, we ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days. It depends on where you live, the shipping company and method, and the time of year.

Around holidays, couriers get overloaded and parcels can run late.

Ordering Cookie Monster as a gift for a birthday, Christmas or another fixed date? Count back from the day. Add 2–3 weeks for making him plus up to 20 business days for shipping, and write to us early. A late gift still makes people happy. But a blue monster on the doorstep right on time is better.

We've been making custom plush toys since 2009. Big shaggy characters like Cookie Monster are some of the trickiest: the fur, the proportions and that crooked googly-eyed look all have to come together, or he just looks like a blue bear.
