Half bee, half seal
The body is a round ball of yellow and black faux fur, striped like a bumblebee. At the front sits a seal's head: black, with a smooth sculpted muzzle, closed eyes and long thin whiskers. Two see-through wings stand up on his back, with fine veins drawn in and a soft shimmer when the light catches them.
We spent most of the time on shape, texture and character. The closed eyes and the calm face give him a sleepy, peaceful look. Put that on a fuzzy bee body and you get the kind of gentle nonsense we love memes for.
He fills two hands and asks to be hugged. And no two come out the same. Handwork is alive, so every bee seal we sew ends up a little different from the last.
