Two budgie plushies from our studio, both in the classic yellow and green. Each one was made to order. Same kind of bird, two different looks.
The first has every marking drawn on by hand: black wavy lines over the head and wings, black spots on the throat, an orange beak under a blue cere. The second is the soft version: no stripes, a pale beak, plain yellow wings with a few black bars at the tips.
Built like a real budgie
Wild budgies, the small parrots from Australia, look just like this: a green body, a yellow face, black scalloped feathers on the back and wings, blue-violet cheek patches and a dark blue tail. We copied that layout. The belly is light green faux fur, the cheeks and tail are blue, and the bird stands on thin legs with long toes and gold-colored claw tips.
A blue cere usually means a grown-up male budgie, so both of ours are grown-up males. If your bird has a brown or pink cere, we'll sew it that way.

Have a budgie at home, or had one? Send us a few clear photos and we'll match the colors and the markings: a blue budgie, a white one, a lutino, a pied bird with patches. You can ask for the detailed drawn-on version, the soft plain one, or something in between. Tell us the size too: small enough for a shelf or big enough to hug.

A budgie is a small bird with a lot of color, so the materials do most of the work.
- Short soft faux fur in lemon yellow for the head and wings and light green for the belly
- blue plush for the cheek patches, the cere, the tail and the tops of the legs
- a sculpted beak: orange on the detailed bird, pale and soft on the plain one
- round blue eyes with a shiny highlight
- thin wrapped legs with long toes and gold-colored claw tips
On the detailed budgie, the black stripes and spots are drawn on by hand, line by line, so no two birds come out quite the same. Tell us which look you want and we'll show you the fabric colors before we start.
A budgie plush usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
We start from your photos or your wishes: we draw the bird, work out the pattern and the size, and pick the yellow, green and blue fabrics. Then comes the sewing: body, wings and tail, then the head, the beak and the eyes, then the legs and claws. For the detailed version, drawing the markings by hand takes extra time at the end.
The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you need your bird by a set date, mention it in your first message.
When your budgie is ready, shipping usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post gets slower, so allow a few extra days then.

Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished bird. Check the colors, the markings and the beak, and tell us if something should change. The budgie leaves the studio after you say yes.
