This blue rat plush came from a chat sticker. A sky-blue rat with huge round eyes, both pink paws pressed to his mouth, looking like he just read something he shouldn't have. We sewed him to order from that one picture. We don't keep a shelf of ready rats. Every toy here starts with the image one person sends us.
The face is the whole joke
A sticker like this works because of one expression. Get the eyes slightly wrong and the rat stops looking startled and just looks sleepy. So the eyes are big white ovals with a thick black outline and tiny pupils, set close together and a little uneven, the way a worried cartoon face is drawn.
The paws do the rest. Both pink arms fold up under the chin, and the fingers sit right in front of the mouth. You can't really say anything back to that face. Thin black whiskers and a small pink nose finish it off.
A rat you can actually hold
Below the head he's round and soft: a sky-blue body, a pale blue belly, pink feet with little red toe lines and a long pink tail that trails off to one side. He sits up on his own, legs out in front, like he's waiting for bad news.

The rat is sewn from short, soft faux fur in sky blue. The belly is a separate oval in pale blue, so it reads clearly from across the room, just like the flat color patch on the sticker.
Pink faux fur goes on the ears, the arms, the feet and the long tail. The toe lines on the feet are stitched in red thread.

The first step is the pattern. A sticker shows one flat side, so we work out the back, the tail and the folded arms before any fabric is cut.
The face takes the most time. Those eyes get placed, checked against the sticker and moved again until the rat looks properly startled.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you need it by a certain date, mention it in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your rat leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier.
