Nothing here comes off a shelf. You send a drawing, and we sew one plush toy from it, just for you. A crayon elephant with every stripe a different color. A dog someone invented, sitting in the exact pose they circled on the page.
Any drawing works: pencil, crayon, marker, a tablet sketch or a finished illustration. If your child drew it at five, the toy should still look like a five-year-old drew it. That’s the whole point.
How it works
- Send the drawing. A photo or a scan is enough. Tell us what size you’d like.
- Get a free quote. Toys from drawings start from $297.
- We plan the plush version. If the drawing needs simplifying for fabric, our artist draws the plush first, and nothing is cut until you approve it.
- We sew it by hand, usually in 2–4 weeks.
- You see photos before it ships. If something looks off, we fix it. Then it travels to you, anywhere in the world.

What a Drawing Can Become
A kid’s drawing, kept the way they drew it
Kids draw what matters to them. Six legs, a smile wider than the face, a tail in a strange place. We don’t “fix” any of it. A stuffed animal from your child’s drawing should look like their drawing, not like a shop toy that sort of resembles it. So we match the fabric to their colors and keep the odd little details that make it theirs.
The child gets to hug something they invented. You get a keepsake that will outlast the paper.
Your own character, from a sketch
Grown-ups send drawings too, usually a character of their own. Magge, from Italy, sent us two sketches of Lou the dog with notes on them: these colors on one, this pose on the other. Afterwards Magge wrote: “‘Lou’ is a character that I created. Skazkodrom constructed him based on one of my drawings. I could not be more pleased with the result.” See Lou the dog.
Alex Kim sent a 2D drawing of Lucy, a pink gorilla character, and got her back in plush: “They are very skilled and worked with us to bring the 2D drawing of Lucy our pink gorilla character alive.” Here is Lucy the pink gorilla.

What to send us
- The drawing itself. A phone photo taken in daylight is fine.
- A back or side view, if there is one. If not, we’ll ask you how the back should look.
- Close-ups of anything important, like a mark, a pattern or a favorite detail.
- The size you have in mind, and who the toy is for.
Only have the idea in words? We can draw it for you first.
Will the plush look exactly like the drawing?
It will look like a handmade toy of your drawing, and that isn’t quite the same as a copy. Fabric has thickness. A face has to work in three dimensions. And a drawing never shows the back of a head, so somebody has to decide what goes there. We ask you. What we’re after is the moment you open the box and recognize it straight away.
You see it first, and you can’t lose
When the toy is finished, we send you photos before it ships and change anything that looks wrong. If it still isn’t right once it’s in your hands, you have 14 days to get a full refund, and you keep the toy. We’ve been sewing toys to order since 2009, more than 2,100 of them so far. No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
