This Rayman Magician plush was sewn for a young fan of the game. Not Rayman himself, not Globox: the kid wanted the Magician, the little Teensy in the tall top hat with a gold star. We made him by hand, to order, for that one child. Every toy here starts with a request like that. Nothing waits on a shelf.

He has a long light-blue nose, glossy black eyes and a grumpy stitched mouth. A grey-blue fringe of hair hangs from under the hat. He wears a royal blue velvet coat over a pink shirt, and the hat is the same blue velvet, floppy and very tall, with a pink band and a yellow felt star. There is wire inside his arms and legs, so you can spread his hands, turn him and set a new pose. We photographed him with blue stripes on his nose and without them, so the face is up to you.

Who the Magician is

He goes back to the very first Rayman, the 1995 game Michel Ancel created for Ubi Soft. There the Magician hid inside his hat in eleven spots across the levels, and for 10 Tings he sent Rayman off to a timed bonus level. Rayman Origins (2011) brought him back as a blue Teensy with a long coat and that tall star hat. In Origins he plays the helpful friend until the twist: he's been using the Lums for his own plan, he admires Mr. Dark, and he wants Polokus's place. He returns in Rayman Legends (2013). Fans call him Ales Mansay.

Materials used

The body and the big nose are soft light-blue plush, shaped so the nose sticks far out in front, as in the game. The eyes are glossy black, and the mouth is a thin stitched line that makes him look a bit cross.

His clothes are real little garments:

a long royal blue velvet coat with sleeves
a pink shirt under it
a tall, bendy blue velvet top hat with a pink band and a yellow felt star
grey-blue yarn hair hanging from under the brim

Inside the arms and legs there is a wire frame, so the limbs hold the pose you give them. Sound modules and LED lights are possible on request too. We use premium, hypoallergenic materials and only faux fur, never natural fur.

Lead time

A character plush like the Magician usually takes 2–4 weeks. The estimate keeps a small reserve, because handwork sometimes needs it.

First we draw the pattern from your screenshots, which matters with a nose this long and a hat this tall. Then the body is sewn and the wire frame goes into the arms and legs. The coat, shirt and hat are fitted last, with the face.

You get photos of the finished toy before it ships, so you can check the hat, the colours and the face.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Once the Magician leaves our studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and customs.

Around the holidays the post slows down, Christmas most of all. For a Christmas present, order before November 1 so there's time to sew and ship.
