A brand that makes designer bags and backpacks was putting together a Christmas collection, and they wanted hares in it: soft custom shaped pillows you could pick up and hold. They sent us their artwork, and we sewed the hares to order, matching the drawing line for line.
From a design sheet to a soft hare
The brief was one sheet: three gray hares in three poses, one sitting up tall and two in mid-leap, each with a size written underneath. The sitting hare was 32 cm tall (about 12.5 in). The leaping ones were 26 and 30 cm. Clear shapes, clear sizes. Nothing to guess.
The artwork goes onto the fabric, and we cut and sew each hare along its outline, leaving a thin white edge all round. The dark sprig on the side, the speckles over the eyes and the long ears all come straight from the drawing. The sitting hare looks at you with open eyes. The leaping one has its eyes closed, as if it's flying.
Small runs, sewn by hand
We sew small runs by hand, usually up to about 200 pieces, with no minimum order.
A run always starts with a sample. You check the shape, the size and the colors on a finished piece, and only then do we sew the rest. Every hare after it is cut from the same pattern.
Your character, your shape
Yours doesn't have to be a hare plush. Send us a logo animal, a character from your packaging or a drawing from your designer, and we'll sew it the same way. More examples are on our plush prototypes page and in our plush from drawings gallery. If you plan to go to a factory later, we can also make patterns and prototypes for mass production.
These hares are flat shaped pillows, not round plush animals. The whole look comes from the artwork, so the fabric has to hold a print well.

The shapes follow the design sheet exactly, including the separate legs and the long split ears. If your artwork has fine details like these, send the highest-resolution file you have. Tell us early if the pillows will sit next to bags or other products, and we'll match the colors to them.
A sample hare like this usually takes 2–4 weeks. That covers the pattern, cutting each pose along its outline, sewing and filling.
Thin parts take patience. Each ear and leg is turned and filled on its own.
A run takes longer than one sample, and the time depends on how many pieces you need. Tell us the number and your launch date when you ask for a quote, and we'll give you a realistic schedule before we start.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on the country and the carrier. Before the holidays couriers slow down, so leave extra time.
A Christmas collection has a fixed date: the day it goes on sale. Count back from it, adding the sample, the run and the shipping. For Christmas orders, order by November 1.
Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished pieces.
